I was 17 years old when I was hired as a sales and marketing agent to sell hotels. They were over 16 hotels and I didn’t even know how to speak English.

Every deal was a struggle working 18 hours and 7 workdays, but after learning the language, the market, and the sales formula, I started enjoying my work, and transactions increased.

Where others had failed, I found success with persistence, dedication to the work, human engagement, and boldly innovative marketing strategies.

When I founded Mutajogera in 2018, it was a first-of-its-kind in the real estate industry, as a successful brokerage agency. Today, it fills me with pride to say that we are now an A-Z investment firm. We provide all-encompassing investment services that are second to none.

We cover all of the major investment classes available in East Africa typically we focus on residential, student, or commercial properties. As such, we can offer an unbiased view of the entire market, helping you to pick an option that’s best suited to your investment objectives. Once we’ve discussed your investment objectives either via phone or email we will recommend suitable properties and provide you with all the information needed for you to make an educated and informed decision.

When you find a property you’re happy with, you will then need to complete a reservation agreement, provide ID, proof of address and transfer a reservation fee to secure the property.

You will then be guided through the purchase process by ourselves and a solicitor to completion.

Once the purchase is complete, you can instruct our property management Team to look after everything on your behalf.

Yes, there are payment plans available on off-plan property investments. However, in most cases a deposit level of 10-30% will be required on residential property at the exchange of contracts stage, with the remainder due on completion. We do have a very small selection of developments that offer monthly payment plans.

Mortgages are available for both East Africa and overseas investors. We have access to a wide range of mortgage brokers to enable you to achieve attractive interest rates. We can also assist in helping you invest via a limited company for tax efficiency.

Yes, around 61% of our buyers are based outside East Africa. You do not need to physically visit a property’s location at any time to purchase. Everything can be completed efficiently and remotely with the help of ourselves and a set of legal representatives. You can then have income paid into your international bank account.

The best place to invest in property really depends on your objectives as an investor. However, in 2020 many investors are looking for city or traditional buy-to-let apartments. Cities like Kampala, Kigali, and Nairobi and Dubai have made huge strides in recent years, and they’re expected to continue doing so, yet they still offer value for money right now.
